Do you need to sit the Masaryk exam?
Some results can replace the exam. Read each of the faculty's rules below, and tick the ones that fit you.
The faculty's rules, line by line
- You may sit the exam only once per admission year.
- For General Medicine only, some results replace the exam.
- Dentistry applicants always sit it.
- The faculty links some routes to where you come from: MCAT or DAT for applicants from the USA and Canada, PACES or MMOP for applicants from France, the Abitur for applicants from Germany, and the Swiss certificate for Switzerland.
- The routes: MCAT (at least 24 or 500, by test year; US applicants must send it), DAT (at least 20), French PACES or MMOP, A-levels (A in Chemistry, A in Biology, B in Physics), IB (35 points, with 19 from HL Biology, HL Chemistry and HL or SL Physics), German Abitur 1.70 or better, Swiss certificate 5.50 or better.
- For A-levels, the faculty says "from the academic year 2024/2025 at the latest".
- This is unclear, so ask your representative.
- The IB must be taken in 2024/2025 or later.
- For the Abitur and Swiss routes, you must not have left school before 2023/2024.
- Attach your last school year's transcript or your final diploma to the online application.
- Before you enrol, Czechia must recognise your school education.
- This costs CZK 990, paid online.
Before you rely on a route
- Not sure your result counts? Ask your official representative before you book a date.
- Your results come after the exam dates? Plan to sit the exam too.
