| The exam | Three separate tests: Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Each test has 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 50 minutes. Each question has five options, and one is correct. That is 120 questions in 150 minutes. You only need a simple calculator. In some countries, an oral interview in English can be required. You sit the exam through an official representative in your country. | A written test, in person, with 75 questions in English: 25 Biology, 25 Chemistry and 25 General Science. There is no separate Physics test. Each question has one best answer, and the official mock shows four options, A to D. Faculty members supervise the test. If you pass, you have multiple mini-interviews (MMI): several short interviews, online, usually within a week. | A written test in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics: you choose physics or maths. You can sit it online or in person, in Olomouc or Tel Aviv. The faculty says the level matches British school exams (GCE). |
| Scoring | The pass mark is 60% for General Medicine and 65% for Dentistry. Passing is the minimum. Higher scores get places first. If a higher scorer says no, the place goes to the next person who passed. | Not on the faculty pages we checked | Not on the faculty pages we checked |
| Exam dates | Not published yet. Last year (2026): The online application was open from 2 January to 31 July 2026. It closed about two weeks before each exam. Non-EU applicants sat exams from January to April, and in some cases May, because a visa takes time. June and July exams were for EU applicants only. | Not published yet. Last year (2026): Written tests ran from 30 May to 4 September, in Hong Kong, Istanbul, Toronto, Prague, London, Tel Aviv, Berlin, Athens and Palma de Mallorca. The faculty itself ran the Prague test on 8 June. Agencies ran the others. The faculty said dates may change, so confirm with your representative. | Not published yet. Last year (2026): Applications opened on 1 November 2025 and closed on 31 July 2026. Exam sessions ran from January to August 2026. You had to apply two weeks before your exam date. |
| Fee to apply | The faculty's document gives no application fee. You apply through an official representative, who may charge you, so ask. Recognition of your school education costs CZK 990, paid online before you enrol. If you pay tuition and then do not enrol, the faculty keeps CZK 25,000. | Not on the faculty pages we checked | EUR 80 per application, paid online. You do not get it back. |
| Tuition | General Medicine: CZK 380,000 a year. Dentistry: CZK 400,000 a year. | Not on the faculty pages we checked | EUR 12,500 a year. |
| Who can apply | You may sit the exam only once per admission year. For General Medicine only, some results replace the exam. Dentistry applicants always sit it. The faculty links some routes to where you come from: MCAT or DAT for applicants from the USA and Canada, PACES or MMOP for applicants from France, the Abitur for applicants from Germany, and the Swiss certificate for Switzerland. The routes: MCAT (at least 24 or 500, by test year; US applicants must send it), DAT (at least 20), French PACES or MMOP, A-levels (A in Chemistry, A in Biology, B in Physics), IB (35 points, with 19 from HL Biology, HL Chemistry and HL or SL Physics), German Abitur 1.70 or better, Swiss certificate 5.50 or better. For A-levels, the faculty says "from the academic year 2024/2025 at the latest". This is unclear, so ask your representative. The IB must be taken in 2024/2025 or later. For the Abitur and Swiss routes, you must not have left school before 2023/2024. Attach your last school year's transcript or your final diploma to the online application. Before you enrol, Czechia must recognise your school education. This costs CZK 990, paid online. | Not on the faculty pages we checked | Not on the faculty pages we checked |
| English | The faculty's document asks for no English certificate. The exam and the interview are in English. | The faculty's preparation page sets no minimum English score. The exam is all in English. | You need an English certificate: Cambridge FCE or higher, IELTS 6 or higher, or TOEFL 87 or higher, or an accepted equivalent. Did you study in English at school or university? Send proof: the faculty says this makes you exempt. |
