Three schools, three exams
The same rows for each school. Where a fact is not published yet, or not on the faculty pages we checked, the sheet says so.
Masaryk
- The exam: Three separate tests: Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Each test has 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 50 minutes. Each question has five options, and one is correct. That is 120 questions in 150 minutes. You only need a simple calculator. In some countries, an oral interview in English can be required. You sit the exam through an official representative in your country.
- Scoring: The pass mark is 60% for General Medicine and 65% for Dentistry. Passing is the minimum. Higher scores get places first. If a higher scorer says no, the place goes to the next person who passed.
- English: The faculty's document asks for no English certificate. The exam and the interview are in English.
- To apply: The faculty's document gives no application fee. You apply through an official representative, who may charge you, so ask. Recognition of your school education costs CZK 990, paid online before you enrol. If you pay tuition and then do not enrol, the faculty keeps CZK 25,000.
- Tuition: General Medicine: CZK 380,000 a year. Dentistry: CZK 400,000 a year.
Charles, First Faculty
- The exam: A written test, in person, with 75 questions in English: 25 Biology, 25 Chemistry and 25 General Science. There is no separate Physics test. Each question has one best answer, and the official mock shows four options, A to D. Faculty members supervise the test. If you pass, you have multiple mini-interviews (MMI): several short interviews, online, usually within a week.

- English: The faculty's preparation page sets no minimum English score. The exam is all in English.

Palacký
- The exam: A written test in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics: you choose physics or maths. You can sit it online or in person, in Olomouc or Tel Aviv. The faculty says the level matches British school exams (GCE).
- Scoring: Not on the faculty pages we checked.
- English: You need an English certificate: Cambridge FCE or higher, IELTS 6 or higher, or TOEFL 87 or higher, or an accepted equivalent. Did you study in English at school or university? Send proof: the faculty says this makes you exempt.
- To apply: EUR 80 per application, paid online. You do not get it back.
- Tuition: EUR 12,500 a year.
