Masaryk Entrance Exam: Sample Tests and the Pass Mark

Masaryk sample tests, 2026/27. Three tests: chemistry, biology and physics. Each real test has 40 questions and 50 minutes. 60% to pass General Medicine. The faculty does not say if 60% counts per test or overall.

In short. The faculty posts free sample tests for chemistry, biology and physics. Time each one at about 75 seconds a question (our calculation). 60% is the minimum. Higher scores get places first. All figures are for the 2026/27 cycle.

Time a sample test in 4 steps

  1. Count the questions in the sample.
  2. Allow about 75 seconds for each one. That is the real test's pace: 50 minutes for 40 questions (our calculation). For example, 20 questions need 25 minutes.
  3. Use only a simple calculator. The faculty says nothing else is needed.[2]
  4. Mark it as a percentage. Write down each topic you missed, and find it on the topic list.

The pass line: 60% of all 120 questions is 72 (our calculation). The faculty does not say if 60% counts per test or overall. So get at least 24 of 40 in each test. But passing is not the same as a place. Higher scores get places first.

Where to find the sample tests

The faculty posts a topic list and a sample test for each subject:[1]

Start with the topic lists. They tell you what each test can ask. Looking for past papers? We do not have any, and we do not sell them.

Check this first. For General Medicine, some school results replace the exam. They include top A-levels, the IB, an Abitur and the MCAT. See who can skip the Masaryk exam.

The timing sheet

For a full 40-question test, check the clock at these points (our calculation):

  • Question 10: by 12 minutes 30 seconds
  • Question 20: by 25 minutes
  • Question 30: by 37 minutes 30 seconds
  • Question 40: by 50 minutes

Behind? Mark the hard question and move on. Come back to it at the end. Open the sheet to print.

Masaryk timing sheet. One real test: 40 questions in 50 minutes. Checkpoints: question 10 by 12:30, question 20 by 25:00, question 30 by 37:30, question 40 by 50:00. That is about 75 seconds a question, our calculation. Mark hard questions and come back at the end. Score boxes for chemistry, biology and physics. Our tip: aim for at least 24 of 40 in each test.

What score do you need?

ProgrammePass markOur tip: at least, in each test
General Medicine60%24 of 40
Dentistry65%26 of 40

Passing is the first step. Higher scores then get places first. If a top scorer says no, the place goes to the next person who passed.

The faculty's document gives no number of places. The Dean decides how many students to accept. So a score well above 60% gives you more room.

The exam at a glance

Masaryk's written exam, 2026/27. Chemistry, biology and physics tests, each with 40 questions and 50 minutes. Each question has 5 options and 1 correct answer. 120 questions in 150 minutes in total. 60% to pass General Medicine, 65% for Dentistry. Our tip: aim for 24 of 40 in every test. The faculty does not say if 60% is per test or overall. You only need a simple calculator.

  • Five options per question, and one is correct
  • 120 questions and 150 minutes in total
  • In some countries an interview in English can be required
  • One try per admission year: if you fail, your next try is in the next admission year

Dropped physics?

Physics is one of the three tests: 40 of the 120 questions. Everyone who sits the exam takes all three tests. Start here:

  1. Read the official physics topic list. Mark each topic you never studied.
  2. Try the physics sample test at about 75 seconds a question.
  3. Learn your marked topics, starting with the ones the sample asked.
  4. Do the sample again with a timer.

Palacký lets you choose physics or maths, and Charles has no physics paper. See the three exams compared.

How and when you apply (2026/27)

You apply through the official agency for your country. The faculty calls it a representative. The list is on pages 4 and 5 of its admission document.

  • UK: The Medical Doorway
  • Canada: The Medical Doorway, Liskutin Law Firm or CZUni.com
  • Turkey: The Medical Doorway or CZUni.com

The document names no city or exact date for the exams. Ask your agency where you sit.

  • Online applications ran from 2 January to 31 July 2026.
  • They close about two weeks before each exam date.
  • Non-EU applicants took the exam from January to April, or May in some cases.
  • We think UK passport holders count as non-EU. Confirm with your agency.
  • A student visa takes about three months. Enrolment is in September.

You see the decision in your online application. The document gives no date for it, and no deadline to accept. If you pay tuition and then do not enrol, the faculty keeps CZK 25,000.

Fees and tuition (2026/27)

  • To apply: no fee in the faculty's document. Your agency may charge one.
  • Diploma recognition: CZK 990. Czechia officially accepts your school diploma.
  • Tuition: CZK 380,000 a year for General Medicine, about €15,000 (our rough conversion). Dentistry: CZK 400,000.
  • If you pay tuition but do not enrol: the faculty keeps CZK 25,000.
  • Living in Brno: a dormitory bed is about €200 a month. Three canteen meals are about €8 a day.

The faculty's own prep course

Masaryk sells its own online course: €100 per subject in 2026/27, on sale from November 2025.[3]
